Story

Hi to all our friends, old, new and yet to meet

It will be 2 years on 29th February since my son, Rick, received the devastating diagnosis of stage 4 metastatic melanoma.  In that time there have been highs and some lows, surgeries for removal of tumours, including 2 brain surgeries.

Through it all there has been hope and optimism,  related to new treatments, and the publication of  improved survival statistics,  due to these treatments. We are eternally grateful that Rick had access to therapiesonly recently available, which have given him a second, and third chance, to live a full life.

There are still no guarantees and not all melanoma patients are as blessed  with a good response, so continued research is vital. For this reason, I have decided to make a difference by creating my very own fundraising page for Melanoma March. Through here you can easily support my efforts by making a secure donation. I would also really appreciate it if you could share my page or comment so more people know about it.
